Blues Festival

Jamie and Kurt are sweet, some of them successful in the early thirties. While loving each other deeply, they often find themselves in conflict over seemingly minor issues, like most couples do. Recently, only one week before their anniversary, they are especially hurtful argument. Jamie stated he was unhappiness about Kurt’s busy schedules and limited time to spend with her. As usual, Kurt promised akan endeavor, and they got through it. But that is not related to the issues that really in the hands, the problem will resurface. Jamie starts with the seed for their next bout when he decided to open the subject of their anniversary.

“Kurt, I just want to remind you that next week is our anniversary and it is very important for us to plan something special for us.”

Kurt take deep breath and responded, “Jamie, you know I do not really like a celebration.”

“Oh come on Kurt. This is very important for me.” Almost defense, Jamie continued. “If you really love someone, you try to do what is important for them, right? My plan last year and now it’s your turn. Why do not you just surprise me … something that is very romantic! Okay?”

Silent and distant, Kurt gave a little nod, which Jamie all the guarantees necessary this year will be exceptional. He can work almost a week fantasizing about what Kurt will do to show his love is everlasting. Finally, this day arrived! Kurt has agreed to return home by six o hours. By twenty-six days ago, Jamie has been on edge. With each glance at the clock, he quickened pacing. Finally, walk through the door Kurt looks tense and clutching a bouquet red roses. Jamie roses with a smile take a cautious, anticipating what comes next. Even without as many glance, Kurt turned around, get a beer from the fridge, and sank to the couch, grabbing the remote control.

Jamie watched intently, he felt the blood turn to ice. “That’s it?” He asked.

“That what?”

“That’s it? It’s our anniversary!” Jamie’s tone grew sharp. “You say something that will plan a special and romantic, and this …” vibration of roses clenched in a fist, “this is it?”

“I never said I will do anything,” Kurt retorted. “I told you it was not my thing.”

“Don t lie to me! You nodded yes!”
